Blue posters

Blue is the colour people most often describe as calming, and not by accident — it draws attention downwards rather than up. That makes it well suited to bedrooms and to rooms you spend a long time in.\n\nThe range is wide. Pale blue-grey behaves almost as a neutral and recedes elegantly in a bright room. Deep navy does the opposite: it works as a dark anchor on a light wall, much as a black-and-white motif would, but warmer.\n\nBlue needs something warm nearby to avoid turning cold. Wood, brass or a beige textile in the room is usually enough. Blue against white and grey alone can read harsh in Nordic winter light.\n\nSea and coastal motifs are the most common way in, but abstract blues are often easier to live with over time.
